Pleased to Make Your Acquaintance 

I’m Lauren, founder and owner of Placed with Poise. My story begins with a childhood shaped by incredibly hardworking and organized parents who believed everything had its place and purpose. I developed an early appreciation for pride in ownership and efficiency of order. This passion for organization has been a guiding force throughout my life, influencing my career choices and personal endeavors.

As I ventured into the professional world in the early 2000's, I thrived in roles that required meticulous attention to detail and a high degree of organization. However, as my responsibilities grew and I ascended the corporate ladder, maintaining this level of order became increasingly challenging with a vigorous career and the various roles I embraced outside of work. As a wife, mother, sister, friend, and board member, I embraced the numerous roles with all the energy I had, each bringing its own joys and demands. The art of balancing them often felt like a graceful yet precarious dance all at once.

Amid this whirlwind, I made the bold decision to pursue an MBA while caring for my five-year-old and one-year-old boys. The rigors of graduate school, coupled with the calls of motherhood and my professional life, tested my resolve and time-management skills to their limits. This period of intense challenge also became a crucible of growth, teaching me invaluable lessons about resilience, adaptability, and the importance of prioritization.

While balancing multiple roles and responsibilities, both professionally and personally, I developed a profound passion for helping others cultivate order, harmony, and purpose in their lives. This commitment extends beyond my work with Placed with Poise as I am deeply invested in advancing female education and career readiness, serving on the Board of Directors for 1,000 Dreams Fund, an organization dedicated to empowering young women through scholarships and mentorships.
